"I wish I had more stars to add to this review! Hands down - the BEST venue for our wedding. Nate and Darrell Tinglov have a beautiful wedding and reception venue. When we visited the first time, I had no intention on making the decision that day. But after touring the reception building and ceremony area (even on a rainy day), I knew this was the place we should pick. We even pushed our wedding date back a week just so we could book it here.

The barn is spacious and offered the "rustic" look we were looking for, with a large fireplace and mantle that made a beautiful backdrop to our sweetheart table. The outdoor ceremony area with the gorgeous wooden alter and seating area was perfect for our wedding. The outdoor areas all around the property made great background scenery for our wedding pictures and offer places for our guest to relax outside.

We rented the on-site house for the whole weekend of the wedding, which offered a place for us to gather with family and friends the day before the wedding for an informal pre-wedding party.

The house had plenty of room for the wedding party to comfortably stay and get ready before the wedding and a place to wind down and rest after the wedding was over.

Nate was always available for questions and let us stop by a few times over the months leading up to the wedding, to look at the property (again) and get some ideas from their inventory of decorations. This was the biggest, most important decision for our wedding and it was the easiest decision to make."

Accommodations

At The Melissa Barn, comfort and convenience are at the heart of our accommodations. Our Master and Guest Houses offer a cozy retreat for up to 16 guests, providing the perfect home away from home amidst North Texas farmland.

Special attention has been given to the bride and groom, with a dedicated Bridal Suite for calm preparations and a Game Room for the groomsmen to unwind and enjoy. These spaces offer both privacy and relaxation on your special day.

Our accommodations go beyond restful sleeping areas. With features like a fully-equipped prep kitchen, to an inviting pool and patio for relaxing dips or casual gatherings, we ensure your stay is as enjoyable as possible.

Beautiful venue, amazing staff

I can't say enough about Melissa Barn! The venue is gorgeous just on its own, making decorating so easy. They also have a ton of rustic decor in storage onsite which saved us money on decor expenses. We also liked that the venue is run by father-son. We liked being able to directly talk with them throughout the planning process rather than go through several people to get our questions answered. They were flexible, easy to get a hold of, and respond quickly. Wedding planning can be stressful, but working with MB was truly the easiest part. Thank you so much for giving us such a memorable day, Darrell and Nate!

This truly was my dream wedding!

The Melissa Barn at HD Ranch was a dream come true for our wedding day!!! All we can talk about is how happy we are that we found and chose them as our venue! Darrell and his son Nate are so down to earth and accommodating to your needs. Our ceremony was outside and we moved inside for our reception. They offer many different packages and even have a weekend stay that you can add for a little staycation. We have gotten so many compliments back from friends and family on just how much fun they had and saying how beautiful the venue was! Thank you Melissa Barn for making our wedding day dreams come true!!!

Would do it all over again!

We had an incredible, incredible experience with Melissa Barn! The owner Darell is a generous, kind soul who works tirelessly to make sure your day goes perfectly smoothly! The entire staff is so sweet, thoughtful, thorough, and professional. The space is beautiful and they continue to make it better and better. The other houses on the grounds are great spaces to get ready and the groom’s rv is so fun! My husband and his groomsmen loved it. There’s also the cutest truck on site for photos. The reception space and ceremony is so beautiful! It’s also perfectly ventilated. The temperature was perfect. They have fans and heaters and everything you may need. The outdoor ceremony space is so intimate and beautiful. If you are having a smaller wedding (around 120 or less) I could not recommend a better venue!! Story: we had a family emergency and had to reschedule our wedding. We reached out to Melissa Barn and Darell worked tirelessly to help us plan the wedding on the new wedding date and gave us access to so many extras that made the day beautiful!! Honestly, I would reach out to Melissa Barn to get their vendor list because everyone they work with is incredible and will make your day go so much smoother.

Best day ever!

We had the most beautiful and amazing wedding day all thanks to HD Ranch! We can never thank Darrell enough for helping us make our special day absolutely perfect!! He was so easy to work with and accommodating to all of our needs. This brand new venue is GORGEOUS, inside and out! Our guest still talk about how beautiful the venue was. We loved that we got to have our dream outdoor wedding and indoor reception! Our added bonus was being able to have our out of town relatives lodge ON the wedding site! It was very convenient, clean, and cozy. We wanted our wedding to be as stress free as possible and it was just that! Being able to have the venue site for the whole weekend helped make everything go smoothly. We didn’t have to rush to clean or to get everything set up which was so nice to not have that extra worry! We were able to spend the whole weekend with our family all together creating so many special memories that we will hold dear to our hearts! As a bride, you dream of your wedding day and desire for every little detail to be perfect (especially if you’re picky like me). We truly couldn’t have been happier and definitely recommend HD Ranch for all of your wedding needs!
